The Oregon Innovation Challenge (OIC)
I was one of the original five student employees that co-founded the Oregon Innovation Challenge, taking UO’s previously stagnant entrepreneurship center and scaling it as big as we possibly could. $15,000,000 in two years big.
I handled all the communications and the majority of decision making with Allen Hall Advertising, the student-run agency that did all of our marketing. We helped fund over 40 student projects, expanded reach from the business school to the entire campus, and hosted a summit on Mount Hood where I met the founder of Sun Bum, a.k.a. the creator of the Taco Bell Chihuahua.
