In 2024, I entered the British Design & Art Direction’s “New Blood” student competition. The assignment was to create a logo for the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Few symbols have done a better job of inspiring global solidarity than the peace sign, which helped defuse the threat of nuclear war 50 years ago. Its simplicity made it universally understood and versatile enough to be displayed everywhere.

I drew inspiration from the original designer’s process to create the No Fossil Fuels logo.
